The Broad Center is a non-profit community hub and opioid overdose prevention program serving marginalized communities across New York City. We are offering a year-round Social & Human Service Internship designed for students and emerging professionals seeking hands-on experience in community outreach, harm reduction, and nonprofit social services.
Interns work directly with individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use, and mental health challenges, while supporting daily operations at our Brooklyn-based center. As part of this opportunity, interns will shadow onsite case managers and social workers, gaining valuable insight into how assessments are conducted, services are coordinated, and clients are supported through complex systems. You will also receive training to dispense Narcan and other harm reduction supplies, assist with community referrals, co-lead workshops, and support grant-funded initiatives.
Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter (You may apply for any session—and may intern for up to four semesters total.)
